The 36th-annual Funtastic Big Bass Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, with several cash prizes to be given away. Anglers can launch from any location on Bull Shoals Lake, but hourly weigh-ins will be held at Oakland Marina.
The tournament, presented by the Lake Norfork Bass Club and Discount Auto, will begin at 7 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. At each hourly weigh-in, first place will receive $100, second place will get $75, and $50 will go to the third place contestant. The overall Big Bass winner will receive a grand prize of $1,000. Hourly reports can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
The entry fee is $40 per angler, and there is an optional smallmouth pot for an additional $5. Checks should be made payable to “Lake Norfork Bass Club.” Registration forms are available at Discount Auto, Gassville Auto Parts, area boat docks, local tackle stores and KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot.
