A Mountain Home man was arrested Friday night following a motorcycle pursuit in Baxter County. Three agencies were involved in the apprehension of 36-year-old Tyler Chase Tedder.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was on patrol on Old Military Road when he encountered Tedder speeding. When the deputy tried to make a traffic stop, Tedder sped up and kept going.

The pursuit reached speeds of 70-miles-per-hour on county roads south of Mountain Home. The deputy eventually lost sight of Tedder but another deputy found the motorcycle turned over on Old Military Road and it appeared Tedder had fled into the woods. An Arkansas State Police trooper and an officer from the Mountain Home Police Department joined in the search for Tedder who was discovered hiding about 100 yards behind the residence where his motorcycle was found.

Tedder told law enforcement he did not wreck his motorcycle, he put it down so he could flee on foot.

Tedder is charged with a felony count of fleeing and misdemeanor charges of having no motorcycle endorsement and speeding. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.
