A man in jail for taking his sister and her baby from their home picked up additional charges while locked up for attacking a female jailer and covering her head and face with urine soaked clothes. The incident involving 22-year-old Joshua David Younger of Mountain View happened last month in the Stone County Jail.
According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Younger began causing a disturbance in his cell block and the jailer went to investigate. In doing so, she opened the cell door to talk to Younger.
During the conversation, Younger, who according to the affidavit that led to his arrest, is a large man weighing 280 pounds, grabbed the jailer, slammed her against the wall, and closed the cell door, preventing her from escaping.
Younger then allegedly forcibly held the jailer down while placing clothing on her face and head that he had recently urinated on.
A radio dispatcher was able to help the jailer escape and other deputies arrived to get Younger into another cell.
Other inmates witnessed Younger urinate on the clothing he used to cover the jailer with and witnessed the incident.
Younger picked up felony charges of aggravated assault on a correctional officer and false imprisonment and a misdemeanor charge of impairing the operation of a vital public facility for the incident.
Younger was in jail after he allegedly assaulted his brother-in-law and took his sister and her baby from their home last month. He was released on a $15,000 bond.
