A few area high school baseball teams were in action Saturday as district play began in Missouri.
The Class 2, District 10 Tournament got underway at Mansfield.
Bakersfield was able to advance to Monday’s semifinals after eliminating Summersville 5-2. The Lions improve to 17-4 on the season.
Gainesville will be Bakersfield’s next opponent after they routed Chadwick/Bradleyville 15-0. The Bulldogs are now 13-8 on the year.
Two area teams squared off to open the Class 4, District 10 Tournament at Logan-Rogersville High School. Hollister defeated Ava by a final of 9-2. The Tigers improve to 8-15, and they’ll face the host and top-seeded Wildcats in Tuesday’s semifinals. The Bears’ season ends with a record of 8-15.
