A Harrison man has been arrested for choking and slamming a female co-worker to the ground. Facing two felony charges for the incident is 59-year-old Charles Robert Lunsford.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Harrison Police Department, the incident started when Lunsford was asked to take supplies to the victim’s work area. An argument started when Lunsford apparently didn’t put the supplies in the correct spot. When the victim asked him to move them, a verbal altercation began that became physical.

The victim alleges Lunsford grabbed a metal object and hit her in the head with it, picked her up and slammed her to the floor, stomped on her side and then choked her.

The investigating officer noticed marks on the victim’s throat where it appeared someone had placed their hands and squeezed and there was bruising the next day. Doctors at the hospital had to glue a laceration closed on the victim’s head caused by the metal object.

Lunsford is facing felony charges of aggravated assault and battery in the second degree. He is free on $15,000 bond.
