Seven community members submitted their names to the Mountain Home Public School (MHPS) Board of Education for consideration to replace the open seat left by former Board member Bob Chester.
Candidates include Tony Chamberlain, Tommy Knight, Cheyla Leaming, Hap Meyers, Marsha Partney, Neal Pendergrass and Bud Zorman.
All applicants will be contacted by email by Tuesday with more information about interviews, which will be held at the next regular Board meeting scheduled for Thursday night at 5. The meeting will be open to the public and streamed on the MHPS Board of Education’s YouTube channel.
Following the interviews in open session, the Board will adjourn to an executive session to discuss the candidates. They will then return to open session to announce the appointment publicly.
