Bomber Youth Football League to hold several events leading up to 2024 season

The Bomber Youth Football League is preparing for the upcoming 2024 fall season, and the organization has several events leading up to the opener in September. The league is open for all area students entering third through sixth grades.

The Bomber Youth Football Camp is scheduled for next week at Bomber Stadium. Campers entering third and fourth grades will have their sessions Monday and July 23, and fifth and sixth grades will take the field July 24 and 25. Each session will be held from 5:30 to 7.

While the camp sessions are in progress, a series of parent meetings will be held in the cafeteria on the campus of Mountain Home High School Career Academies. Meetings will include third grade parents on Monday, fourth grade parents July 23, fifth grade parents July 24 and sixth grade parents July 25.

The organization will begin holding three practices per week during a three-week period beginning July 29. Sessions will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 on the practice fields behind the high school. After classes begin Aug. 19, the Monday practices will be eliminated from the remainder of the season.

The Bomber Youth Football Cookout is scheduled for Aug. 15. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks will be served, and jerseys will be handed out.

Picture day will be Aug. 29. The date and time of grades and teams are to be determined.
