A partial road closure has been announced in Baxter County following Wednesday’s early morning storms. Baxter County Road and Bridge Superintendent Larry Carter says County Road 1, also known as Denton Ferry Road, will be closed starting at County Road 703 to the end where is meets County Road 9.
The closure will remain in effect until the lines and debris are removed. Several trees are down, and power crews out working on the roadway in this area. The Road and Bridge Department will also be out on the remainder of Denton Ferry Road with heavy equipment removing debris from the roadway and right-of-way.
Motorists in the area are asked to use caution and drive slowly.
