The Mountain Home School Board will fill its vacancy at Thursday’s meeting scheduled for 5 in the Administration Building Board Room.The Board will meet in regular session but the meeting will not be a standard one as the Board will hear public interviews from the candidates seeking to fill Bob Chester’s vacant seat. Superintendent Allyson Dewey says that 30 minutes will be allotted for each of the 7 candidates during the interview process. Following the interviews, the Board will enter executive session to discuss and make an appointment. They will also handle the evening’s personnel recommendations during this executive session. Following the conclusion of the executive session, the remainder of the meeting agenda will continue.
The Board will hear reports regarding Academic Reports, financial reports, enrollment reports, student transfer update, and a facilities update report.
A presentation will be given regarding the 2024-2025 budget discussion.
Board action items on the agenda include:
– a request to approve 2024-2026 contract disclosures
– a request to approve purchases over $20K
– a request to approve food service bids for 2024-2025
– a request to approve policy updates
– a request to approve section 3 policy updates
– and a request to approve section 8 policy updates
