BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Arkansas defensive lineman Landon Jackson was named to the Preseason All-SEC Team, earning second-team recognition from media covering SEC Football Media Days.
Jackson, who enters the 2024 campaign as a Walter Camp Football Foundation Preseason All-American, proved to be one of the nation’s most dominant pass rushers last year. The Texarkana, Texas, product tallied 44 total tackles, including 13.5 tackles for loss, with 6.5 sacks and one pass breakup during his junior season for the Razorbacks.
Jackson’s breakout performance came last season at Alabama (Oct. 14), setting career-highs in tackles (11), tackles for loss (3.5) and sacks (3.5) and recording his first career double-digit tackle game to claim SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors. Jackson finished the season as the team leader in tackles for loss (13.5) and sacks (6.5) to become the first Razorback defensive lineman since Jake Bequette in 2011 to earn first-team All-SEC honors.
