Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has announced that she’s going on an overseas trade mission this week to the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom to promote Arkansas aerospace. This comes after the governor’s successful trade mission to France in 2023, which helped secure projects and bring new income from the aerospace industry into the state.”My trade mission to the Paris Air Show last year was a huge success, helping Arkansas land projects from international players like Dassault Falcon and RTX, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars in investment for our state. This year, Ill continue that success by pitching Arkansas at the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom and meeting with some of our state’s major business partners in Germany,” said Governor Sanders. “Aerospace is Arkansas’ largest export industry and it’s getting larger every year. As we cut taxes, grow our workforce, and invest in education, we’re becoming an even more attractive state for investment. This trip will be crucial to getting that news out to some of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world.”
The Farnborough Air Show is set to kick off this week, lasting from July 22 to July 26.
