The University of Missouri’s Ozark County Extension Office will host a three-day seminar on livestock management-intensive grazing for economic and environmental sustainability. The Ozark County Grazing School is scheduled for Aug. 7-9.

Attendees will learn to optimize feed costs through management-intensive grazing, leading to optimum livestock operation, forage consumption and utilization. They’ll also gain knowledge on enhancing livestock forage grazing management to promote profitability and sustainability.

Registrations are limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. A $50 non-refundable deposit will be required with each registration. The deadline to register is July 31.

All sessions are part of the grazing school and must be attended as a whole. Attendance is a requirement for many of the state and federal cost-share programs.

For more information, visit the extension office at 526 Third Street in Gainesville, call 417-679-3525, or send an email to ozarkco@missouri.edu.
