Starting Monday, the Buffalo National River will be installing a new water line to Steel Creek, causing Steel Creek Road to be shut down Mondays – Thursdays from 8 until 4:30.
According to a press release from the National Park Service, access to the river and campground will be available outside of the closure to include any time on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Officials state the project is expected to last through August. If river levels rise, the park will reassess access to Steel Creak.
