The Mountain Home Hurricanes swim team had a big day Saturday as they competed in the South Wind Conference Championship Meet at Pocahontas. The Hurricanes emerged as the small team champions.
Mountain Home’s high-point winners on the boys side include Benny Vetter for ages 15 to 18, Tyler Edwards for ages 13 and 14, Elijah Jones for ages 11 and 12 and Parker Kohler for ages 9 and 10. The girls’ high-point winners were Peeka Traver for ages 15 to 18, Callie Kohler and Annabelle Horn in a tie for ages 13 and 14 and Sophia McKee for ages 11 and 12. Parker and Callie Kohler will travel to Minneapolis this week for the USA Swimming Zones Meet.
The large team division was captured by Jonesboro.
