A man who apparently has feet that are different sizes and likes the movie Toy Story has been arrested after stealing Buzz Lightyear Crocs in mismatched sizes. He also allegedly stole a woman’s wallet from a different store which led to a foot pursuit through a residential area of Mountain Home. Facing multiple charges for the incidents is 18-year-old Javias Yonah Rankin Jr. whose address is listed as homeless.According to the probable cause affidavits from the Mountain Home Police Department, the first incident happened July 19 when Rankin was seen on video stealing shoes from the Shoe Sensation store. The shoes were Buzz Lightyear Crocs, but the left shoe was size 11 and the right shoe was size 10.

The following day, police were called to Hobby Lobby when a shopper had her wallet stolen from her purse which was in her shopping cart. The store manager had video of the incident and the responding officer took a photo of the suspect and sent it to other officers.

As the officer was still in the store, another officer notified dispatch Rankin was running from him in the parking lot and had crossed U.S. Highway 62B, nearly causing several accidents and being struck by a vehicle in the process.

Officers found Rankin walking behind Lakeview Auto sales but he took off running again, jumping fences and running through yards in the subdivision behind the business. City officers were joined by several county deputies in the search for the suspect who was eventually located and taken into custody.

Officers found items strewn along the route from Twin Lakes Plaza, where Rankin started running, to where he was apprehended. Some of the items matched those described as stolen while other items are suspected to be stolen from other stores. Due to not knowing what was stolen or what belonged to Rankin, all of the items were seized and placed in an evidence locker.

Rankin is a facing a felony charge of theft of property along with misdemeanor charges of theft of property, criminal trespass, obstructing governmental operations, fleeing on foot, two counts of disorderly conduct, refusing to submit to arrest and littering. He is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on bonds totaling $7,500.
