A Gassville man has been arrested after allegedly skip-scanning items at a local retail store.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Mountain Home Police Officers were contacted by store officials stating they had evidence of a man skip-scanning items on multiple occasions. They stated on May 4, 56-year-old David Solberg was stopped when he was observed skip-scanning items. During the investigation, it was discovered Solberg skip-scanned items in five other incidents dating back to March. The amount of stolen items during the six events totaled $199.85.
Solberg was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center and is facing one felony count of theft of property. He was released on a $2,500 bond.
According to the incident report, Solberg has a previous theft conviction in 2021.
