Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Brett Castle recently completed the yearly recertification training with his canine Rico. Castle and Rico traveled to Houston, Tx., August 7-9 to undergo the 20 hour annual training.
The training session was conducted by Focus K9 trainers and consisted of one-on-one training sessions focused on patrol functions, narcotics detection, tracking and handler protection.
Deputy Castle has worked as a Marion County Deputy since 2017 and has served as the departments canine handler since 2020.
