Marion County Quorum Court to meet in regular session Tuesday night

The Marion County Quorum Court will meet in regular session Tuesday night at 6 at the Marion County Courthouse.

Items on the agenda include:

– an ordinance to appropriate funds from the unappropriated sales tax solid waste fund to the sales tax solid waste fund for the construction of an awning in the amount of $45,317;

– an ordinance to appropriate funds from the county general fund in the amount of $5,900 to the Marion County 911 fund for general supplies, processional services and machinery and equipment;

– an ordinance to appropriate funds from the unappropriated county building improvement fund in the amount of $17,619 to the county building improvement fund for payment of clean-up of the courthouse basement due to flood damage on July 17;

– an ordinance to appropriate funds from the unappropriated county building improvement fund in the amount of $22,744 to the county building improvement fund for payment to repair the courthouse basement floors due to flood damage on July 17;

– an ordinance to appropriate funds from the unappropriated county building improvement fund in the amount of $23,795 to the county building improvement fund for payment to repair the filing system for the Clerk’s OFfice due to flood damage on July 17;

– an ordinance to appropriate additional fund the to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office budget from the county general fund in the amount of $359,192 due to beginning of the fiscal year revenue shortfalls;

– an amending ordinance to create and appropriate funds for receipt of law enforcement step grants in the amount of $7,500;

– a resolution authorizing the county judge to apply for a grant on behalf of the Marion County Circuit Clerk to scan County Land Records to a fully integrated land records management software system; and

– a resolution authorizing the county judge to submit an application to extend Letter of Credit by First Service Bank in the amount of $5,500 for the Marion County Transfer Station.
