Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation after a woman was fatally struck by a train in Howell County. The victim is identified as 37-year-old Megan Erin Corman of Willow Springs.
According to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad notified authorities around 11:30 Tuesday morning of train crews seeing an individual on the railroad tracks and subsequently hit by the oncoming train. An initial investigation indicates Corman was laying on the tracks in the path of the oncoming train. The investigation is still active and ongoing, and further information should be released pending autopsy results.
