Norfork boys win 1A-2 Conference Golf Tournament

The Norfork High School boys’ golf team finished as the champions of the 1A-2 Conference Tournament Tuesday in Horseshoe Bend. The Panthers’ team total was 286 at the Golf Course on Turkey Mountain.

Viola was the runner-up as they were eight strokes back. Timbo ended up third at 299, Rural Special took fifth place at 343, and Calico Rock finished sixth at 345.

Timbo’s Daylen Jelks won the medalist honor with a 91, one stroke ahead of Norfork’s Jackson Davis and Calico Rock’s Keadon Gill. Luke Haught of Norfork and Kody Hart of Viola were tied for fourth place after both shot a 95. Elisha Rushing was Rural Special’s top golfer with a 105.

On the girls’ side, Norfork’s Cate Shaddy ended up second on the individual leaderboard.
