Man killed when struck in private driveway by debris from 2-vehicle crash

An area man was killed Tuesday afternoon when he was hit by debris from a two-vehicle crash while standing in a private driveway. The Arkansas State Police identified the deceased victim as 22-year-old Dylan Reed of Marshall.

According to the Marshall Police Department, a pickup truck was traveling on U.S. Highway 65 when it veered across the highway and struck a van traveling in the opposite direction. The rear bumper of the van reportedly became detached and struck Reed while he was standing in the driveway. No injuries were reported from the vehicles.

The road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the 2:15 p.m. accident.
