
The Bombers basketball teams hosted Batesville Tuesday night in a preseason tuneup at The Hangar in Mountain Home. The Lady Bombers started off the evening with a strong showing over the visiting Pioneers. Final score was 71-39. In boy’s action the Pioneers where left wondering if they should have gone west when they lost to the Bombers with a final score 63-24.Yellville Summit’s senior boys where on the road to Lead Hill in a game that went into overtime after a score of 50-50 at the end of regulation. Lead Hill was able to over come the Panthers with a decisive final score of 61-58. Brett Arnold and Noah Royce led in scoring for Lead Hill with 14 and 10 points each. For Yellville it was Kendall Hickerson leading in scoring with a game high of 17 points with Noah Layton right behind with 15.
Cotter girls hosted Green Forest and saw two wins on the night. In the junior high game the Warriors nearly doubled the visitors with a final of 54-23. The McNutt sisters dominated in scoring with Myah adding 23 and Lily posting 10 points. The junior team is now 5-2 on the year. The senior girls kept up the momentum against the Tigers with a final of 59-38. Kylee Chastain scored 28 points with Laney Dwyer and Shawna Foster contributing 11 and 10 points respectively. The senior Warriors are now 3-1 on the season.
