Basketball makes up much of the local Saturday schedule and includes the Mountain Home High School girls’ playing their final game in the Ridge Dental Classic at Wynne. The Lady Bombers’ opponent will be DeSoto Central from Mississippi. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:30. Saturday’s game will be broadcast on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com and the Bomber Sports Network on YouTube.
Several high school basketball teams will be in Flippin for the opening day of the Arvest Bank Tournament.
Saturday’s girls’ games will be played in the old gym. Cotter and Timbo tip off at 10, Lead Hill meets Alpena at 11:30, Mount Judea faces Kingston at 1, and Yellville-Summit takes on Omaha at 2:30.
The boys’ games will be held in the new gym. Rural Special and Mount Judea get underway at 10, Norfork plays Omaha at 11:30, Timbo will be paired with Alpena at 1, and Marshall meets Kingston at 2:30.
Mountain Home’s seventh grade teams are spending the weekend on the road. Both squads will compete in a jamboree at Harrison.
