LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – A man in Arkansas turned himself in Thursday in connection with a mall shooting that left two people injured on Black Friday, authorities said.
The 18-year-old man surrendered to the Little Rock Police Department on Thursday. His arrest lists two felony counts of criminal attempt to commit capital murder, according to a statement from the department.
Court records were not immediately available to show if the suspect has a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
The isolated shooting at Park Plaza followed a dispute between two people and was not an active shooter situation, Little Rock police said. The department originally reported three injuries, but in a later statement revised that number to two. Their injuries were not life-threatening, the department said.
The police department said that the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
