Santa Claus will be making several appearances in the Twin Lakes Area this Saturday, offering families, children, and even pets a chance to celebrate the season. From pancake breakfasts to festive activities there’s something for everyone looking to catch a glimpse of St. Nick.
The day begins with two breakfast events. At the Buford Volunteer Fire Department, families can enjoy a Pancake Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 10:30. This cozy event provides a hearty start to the day and a chance to meet Santa. Meanwhile, Cotter Public Schools will host its own Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. in the school cafeteria. For $5 per person, attendees can enjoy pancakes, juice, and a digital photo with Santa. Proceeds from this event will support the Cotter Warrior Booster Club.
Mid-morning brings more festive fun with the Family Jolly-Day Bash at the Donald W. Reynolds Library serving Baxter County in the Knox Community Room. Running from 10 to 1, there will be a range of activities, including a cookie walk, face painting, crafts, bingo, live piano music, and more. Santa himself will host a special Story Time from 10:30 to 11:30, with photo opportunities available.
Pet owners can get in on the holiday cheer at Hadley’s Haven, located at 335 E. 2nd Street, where Santa will be available for pet photos from 10 to 5. Donations are appreciated, with all proceeds benefiting Lucky Dawg Rescue.
The day wraps up with the Family Festival at the Coulter Celebration of Lights, hosted at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) from 4:30 to 9. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to greet visitors, and the event also features giant inflatable slides and food from the Heavenly Grounds Food Truck. For those enjoying the drive-through light display, KTLO will provide festive Christmas music on 97.9 FM to enhance the experience.
