The Mountain Home High School wrestling teams began their two-day run in the Central Arkansas Classic Friday at Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood.
The Bombers are currently third on the boys’ side with Pottsville leading the team standings. Mountain Home had 4-0 starts from Seth King in the 122-pound division, Mario Alvarez in the 167, Mason Hill in the 177 and Calin Frounfelter in the 287. Eason Recktenwald went 4-1 in the 192, Logan Lefevers was 3-1 in the 128, and Mason Shimmel went 3-1 in the 146.
The Lady Bombers are fifth in the girls’ team standings with Little Rock Central being the current leaders. Mountain Home had 3-0 starts from Eliana Pepin in the 142 and Abby Swartz in the 147 and 2-0 starts from Bailee Schaffner in the 102, Olivia McCoy in the 132 and Neveah Bragg in the 157.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday.
