The Izard County High School girls’ basketball team invoked the mercy rule in its quarterfinal game in the Kell Classic at Swifton as they routed Marmaduke 68-35. Quinn Johnson led the Lady Cougars with 19 points, Olivia Spray scored 16, and Tinlee Bailey added 13. Izard County improves to 10-4 on the season, and their semifinal game is currently scheduled for Friday evening.
