
Several area roadways have been cleared overnight, while others remain in rough condition. In addition, patchy ice has been a concern with the Saturday morning lows getting down into the teens.
Scott Manchester of the Mountain Home Street Department says the city streets are mainly clear.

At the last available update from the Baxter County Road and Bridge Department, crews were expected to continue to work all weekend to get the roads cleared. As of 5 Friday evening, the county roads were 20% to 25% cleared.
In Marion County, crews were expected to have nearly three-quarters of the county complete by the end of Friday night. Crews started back up around 5 Saturday morning.
As of 5:30 Saturday morning, the Izard County Sheriff’s Office was reporting state highways were clear. There were some patches of ice and snow still on the more-traveled highways. Some of the less-traveled highways were more covered for a long span. Gravel roads are still mostly-to-totally covered.
IDriveArkansas.com was showing Arkansas Highway 9 had ice patches from Salem to the Fulton/Izard county line and slush further south to Melbourne. Arkansas Highway 5 was slush-covered throughout Izard and Stone counties, and Arkansas Highway 69 had slush throughout Izard County.
The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office posted an update Friday night stating Zanoni Hill on Missouri Highway 181 had recently been reported as treacherous, and authorities were strongly advising avoiding the route if possible.
The Missouri Department of Transportation’s traveler information map showed Missouri Highway 5 was mostly clear throughout Ozark and Douglas counties, and U.S. Highway 160 was mostly clear from Gainesville and continuing east through Howell County. Missouri Highway 14 was covered from Ava, continuing northwest to Dogwood.
