Snow covers area’s major highways

The weekend’s snowfall has led to some of the area’s major highways being covered.

IDriveArkansas.com is showing U.S. Highway 62/412 is covered in snow from Cotter to Viola. In addition, Arkansas Highway 5 is snow covered from Mountain Home to Mountain View, Arkansas Highway 9 is snow-covered from Salem to Melbourne, U.S. Highway 63 is snow-covered throughout Fulton County, Arkansas Highway 69 is covered in snow throughout its Izard County run, Arkansas Highway 14 is snow-covered from Mountain View to the Stone/Independence county line, and U.S. Highway 65 is snow-covered from St. Joe to the Searcy/Van Buren county line.

The Missouri Department of Transportation’s traveler information map shows Missouri Highway 5 is covered in the wintry mix from the state line to Wasola. U.S. Highway 160 is covered from Gainesville and continuing east to its junction with Missouri Route V near Elijah.
