A series of crashes on westbound Interstate 40 in North Little Rock caused major traffic disruptions Monday morning. The Arkansas Department of Transportation reported the first accident just after 6 a.m., east of Interstate 440 near Galloway. Crews have been working to clear the scene, and the lanes remain blocked.
Around 7 a.m., another crash was reported in the same area, involving an overturned tractor-trailer. ARDOT cameras showed traffic backed up beyond mile marker 162 at Valentine Road, though crews have since cleared the area, and the lanes are now open.
As of now, officials have not released details on the cause of the crashes or any potential injuries.
