Friday basketball results include Norfork splitting with Crowley’s Ridge Academy

Norfork split its high school basketball games with Crowley’s Ridge Academy on Friday. The Lady Panthers put the mercy rule in effect as they pounded the Lady Falcons 68-32. Norfork was not as fortunate in the boys’ game as they lost to Crowley’s Ridge Academy 64-51.

Flippin was able to win two out of three games against Salem. The Bobcats doubled up the Greyhounds 66-33 in the senior boys’ game. Flippin did not fare as well in the senior girls’ contest as they fell to Salem 58-29. The evening began with Flippin’s junior boys beating Salem 38-34.

Yellville-Summit was able to sweep its high school games over Cave City. The Panthers took the boys’ game over the Cavemen 59-41. Yellville-Summit also won the girls’ contest 61-42.

Bakersfield swept its homecoming games over Couch. The mercy rule was needed for the girls’ game as the Lady Lions beat up on the Lady Indians 63-30. Bakersfield’s boys also breezed past Couch 73-49.

Melbourne finished with a split of its high school games with Mountain View. The Bearkatz won the boys’ game over the Yellowjackets 65-46. Melbourne was edged out by Mountain View in the girls’ contest 54-51.

Marshall picked up two wins as they hosted Lead Hill for three games on Senior Night.
The Lady Bobcats were able to win the senior girls’ game. Marshall defeated the Lady Tigers by a final of 85-40.
Marshall’s only loss was in the senior boys’ contest as they fell to Lead Hill 72-66. Nolan Turner paced the Tigers with 18 points and 10 rebounds, Noah Royce scored 15 points, and D.J. Evans added 12.
The night started with Marshall’s junior boys topping Lead Hill 36-30. Tucker Middleton was the Junior Tigers’ top scorer with 10 points.

Timbo split its high school games with Wonderview. The Tigers beat the Daredevils in the boys’ game 63-53. The girls’ contest ended with Timbo losing to Wonderview 66-32.

Rural Special’s girls were able to get a win in front of the home crowd. The Lady Rebels defeated Clinton 59-52.

Bergman came away with a sweep of its high school games over Valley Springs.
The Lady Panthers got past the Lady Tigers 48-43. Bergman was led by Brinley Collins with 15 points, Jacey Halitzka had 11 points, and Kiersten Lowry chipped in 10. Macy Willis recorded 19 points for Valley Springs, and Tayla Trammell provided 10. The Lady Tigers fall to 25-8 on the season and 7-5 in the 3A-2.
Bergman also won the boys’ game over Valley Springs 86-53.

Ozark Mountain picked up a pair of easy wins in its high school games against Eureka Springs. The Lady Bears routed the Lady Highlanders 70-38. Ozark Mountain also won the boys’ game 61-35.

All four of Jasper’s teams clinched the 1A-1 conference championship as they swept Kingston. The Pirates pounded the Yellowjackets in the senior boys’ game 78-45. Jasper also won the senior girls’ contest over Kingston 68-33. Jasper took the junior boys’ game 64-15 and the junior girls’ game 56-22.
