A Jonesboro man is behind bars after allegedly threatening to kill two people in their sleep.

25-year-old Rickey Dewayne Harris is being charged with first-degree terroristic threatening, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing governmental operations.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Jonesboro police were dispatched to an address at Cedar Heights on Thursday to the report of a disturbance.

Responding officers made contact with Harris who initially gave a false first name. When officers spoke with the two victims, they told police that Harris had made threats to kill them in their sleep.

Officers conducted a search of Harris’s property and found a marijuana bong and marijuana cigarette in his possession.

Court records show that Harris was arrested for a similar charge in October of last year following a shooting at a Cedar Heights address.

Harris is currently being held at the Craighead County Detention Center with a $150,000 bond.
