A Harrison man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting and threatening a woman. Twenty-five-year-old George Lester Foster faces charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening, and resisting arrest.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Boone County sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Jan. 5, where they found the victim outside. She told deputies she was sitting on her bed during an argument with Foster when he pushed her down and began strangling her. She said he then spit in her face and, when she tried to get up, he wrapped his legs around her and put his arm around her neck. The victim said Foster threatened to kill her, and she couldn’t breathe.

Deputies entered the home and asked Foster to step outside. Foster told them the victim had been breaking his guitar, and he admitted to shoving her onto the bed and spitting on her. He claimed they argued again, and the victim attacked him, pulled a knife, and told him to stay away.

When deputies informed Foster he was under arrest, he stepped back inside, saying, “It’s cold out here, and I’m going to get some clothes.” Deputies grabbed his arm and ordered him to stop, but Foster resisted, telling them he was a “black belt.” He struggled against the deputies and kicked at them before being taken to the ground.

Foster was arrested and transported to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. He is facing a felony count of aggravated assault, a felony count of terroristic threatening and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. Foster was released on a $10,000 bond.
