ASUMH wins 1st 2 games in Perfect Game JUCO Invitational

The ASU-Mountain Home baseball team began its run in the Perfect Game JUCO Invitational with a pair of big wins Friday in Millington, Tenn.

The TrailBlazers began the day by with a 2-0 shutout win over Indian Hills, one of the powers of NJCAA Division I. Ckyler Tengler picked up the victory with five no-hit innings and 10 strikeout, and Nicholas Patterson pitched the final two innings. Reece Bariola blasted a solo home run in the second inning, and Christopher Tillery added an RBI single in the third.

ASU-Mountain Home came from behind in the evening session to get past Lincoln Land 4-3. The TrailBlazers were trailing 3-0 in the final inning when Lawson Devault, Spencer Mounce and Tillery all drove in runs. Tillery’s RBI double sealed the victory. Braden Campbell was credited with the win in relief. Masen Lemons delivered a strong five-inning start on the mound.

ASU-Mountain Home improves to 3-5 on the season, and they’ll play two more games Saturday with the first starting at 1.
