A couple of high school basketball tournaments will resume Friday, two others have been pushed back to the weekend, and another has been called off.
The 3A-2 District Tournament will hold its semifinal round Friday in Melbourne. On the girls’ side, Salem and Mountain View tip off at 4, and the host Lady Bearkatz face Bergman at 6:30. On the boys’ bracket, Mountain View takes on Bergman at 5:15, and Flippin plays Melbourne at 7:45.
Both of Izard County’s teams will compete in the semifinals of the 2A-2 District Tournament at Tuckerman. The Lady Cougars will be paired with Marshall at 4, and the Izard County boys face Sloan-Hendrix at 5:20.
The semifinals of the 1A-2 District Tournament at Rural Special and the 1A-1 District Tournament at Kingston have been rescheduled for Saturday. The championship games for both tournaments will be held Monday.
The remainder of the 2A-1 District Tournament at Eureka Springs has been completely canceled, and all of the teams scheduled for the semifinals will be seeded in next week’s Class 2A Region 1 Tournament based on their conference records. Ozark Mountain’s girls will go to Hackett with a No. 1 seed, and their boys will have a No. 2 seed.
