The Arkansas High School Coaches Association announced its Outstanding Coach of the Year awards from this year’s fall sports on Thursday. Four coaches represent the area, including two from Mountain Home High School.
Wil Norris received the award for boys’ cross country, and Skyler King took home the award for boys’ tennis. Norris and King both led the Bombers to Class 5A state championships.
The Outstanding Coach of the Year for football went to Josh Watson of Salem. Watson was able to lead the Greyhounds to the Class 3A title in December, their first state championship in program history.
Harrison’s Joel Wells ended up with the award for boys’ golf. Wells led the Goblins to a third place finish in the Class 5A State Tournament.
