Monday basketball results include Calico Rock boys winning district tournament title

The Calico Rock High School boys’ basketball team will enter regional tournament play as district tournament champs. In a battle between Pirates, Calico Rock took the title game of the 1A-2 District Tournament 55-47 over Concord Monday at Rural Special High School in Fox.
Rural Special’s girls ended the tournament as the runners-up. The host Lady Rebels suffered a 75-55 defeat at the hands of Greers Ferry West Side.

Jasper was able to sweep both championship games of the 1A-1 District Tournament at Kingston.
Lead Hill lost the boys’ game to the Pirates 81-69. Noah Royce led the Tigers with 31 points, and Kaden Baker added 22.
The girls’ game ended with Omaha falling to Jasper by a final of 75-49.

District play began in Missouri as three area boys’ teams opened the Class 2, District 10 Tournament at Mansfield.
Bakersfield invoked the mercy rule in the last game of the night as they routed Fordland 74-44. The Lions improve to 19-8 on the season, and they’ll play in the semifinals on Wednesday.
Gainesville watched its season come to an end in the first game with a 67-45 loss to Mansfield. The Bulldogs’ final record is 12-14.
Dora was one and done in the tournament as they fell to Hartville 71-24. The Falcons’ season ended with a mark of 6-20.

Lutie’s boys were eliminated from the Class 1, District 4 Tournament in Billings as they lost to the School of the Ozarks 57-31. The Indians conclude their year at 2-13.
