
Mountain Home NJROTC continued its strong start to the season, narrowly defeating Vilseck AJROTC for its second consecutive win.
Mountain Home posted its highest score of the season, edging out Vilseck 966.1 to 948.7 in the 2025 National Air Rifle New Shooter League.
Aaron Hale led Mountain Home NJROTC with a score of 260.4. Other contributing members included Zach Dooley, Alyvia Hayes and Tyler Webb, with coaching from Jason Williams. With the victory, Mountain Home improved to 2-0 and is now ranked 28th.
Vilseck AJROTC, based in Vilseck, Germany, was led by Russell Beargeon, who shot a 269.8. Other team members included Landon Hill, Noah Tucker and Mia McAfee-Bonaldi, under the guidance of coach John Sabala. Vilseck is ranked 31st with an 0-1 record.
Next up, the Mountain Home NJROTC will compete against York Comprehensive, from York, South Carolina, who currently has a 2 – 1 record.
