Two days after the Salem High School football team lost its head football coach, his successor was named. The school board decided to hire within the system and promote Billy Webber to the position.
Webber has been with Salem’s football program for three years. He served as the offensive coordinator as the Greyhounds won their first state championship in program history. Webber has also been the head coach for Salem’s junior high team.
Webber will succeed Josh Watson, who was hired Tuesday by Ozark.
