The third-annual United Bass Anglers Benefit Bass Tournament is scheduled for March 22 at Panther Bay Marina on Norfork Lake. The cost is $120 per boat, including the big bass pot, and proceeds will benefit Rivers of Recovery.
United Bass Anglers member Lin Oliver says they’re able to put the tournament together with financial assistance provided by various sponsors.

Rivers of Recovery is a program designed to support veterans disabled in combat. According to its website, each trip hosts up to eight veterans on a four-day, science-based, experiential rehabilitation program focusing on confidence building, outdoor activities and talk therapy. All fishing and hunting therapies are conducted with professionally-licensed guides. The program is low-impact and requires little walking, making it possible to serve as many veterans as possible.
Several cash prizes will be awarded for the tournament, and the winners will be guaranteed $2,000. Oliver says drawings will be held for other prizes.

The day will begin with registrations at 5:30. The boats launch at 7, and weigh-ins will start just after 3.
