The Melbourne boys’ basketball team is in Hot Springs to play in the Class 3A state championship game at Bank OZK Arena. Melbourne will face off against Osceola in the finals on Thursday night at 7:45, and the game will be televised on Arkansas PBS. The Bearkatz are being led by the program’s first year head coach, Logan Bailey.
The Bearkatz defeated Lincoln in the first round of the state tournament 61-59, they rolled by Prescott 75-40 in the quarterfinals, and then destroyed top seeded Lamar 76-40 in the semifinals.
