The Farmington girls’ basketball team was not affected by the move up to Class 5A after winning the previous two state championships in Class 4A. The Lady Cardinals captured their third consecutive state championship after beating Greene County Tech 54-44 Friday in Hot Springs.
Easton McCollough was the MVP as she led Farmington with 24 points, and Marin Adams added 14. E’Marriah Johnson scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Lady Eagles, and Weslyn Burnside had 15 points.
The Lady Cardinals end their season at 30-1. Tech falls to 31-3.
