
Hickory Park is scheduled to be a hot spot for country music stars this summer with the announcement of Arkanfest, a free concert festival weekend taking place June 12-14 in Mountain Home.
Mayor Hillrey Adams says the weekend of music was designed to attract more people to the area.

Joe Nichols, a multi-platinum country artist and Arkansas native known for blending traditional roots with a modern flair, is set to perform June 13. With six No. 1 singles and hits like “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” “Yeah,” and “Brokenheartsville,” Nichols has cemented himself as a staple of contemporary country music and has earned him multiple ACM, CMA, and Grammy nominations throughout his career.
Mayor Adams says he expects this event to draw in the biggest crowd Hickory Park has ever seen.
