A woman in jail on a murder charge was granted a supervised release bond, but before she could get released from jail, she picked up another charge and never left the facility. Fifty-eight-year-old Patricia Anna Santos-Duvalier of Dora was being held in the Ozark County Jail in Gainesville on charges of second degree murder and first degree assault for the death of a 38-year-old severely handicapped woman she was the caregiver for.

The judge in the case released Santos-Duvalier on her own recognizance April 4. But before she was released from jail, she picked up another charge for hindering prosecution of a felon.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, Santos-Duvalier was making phone calls to David Bradberry II, a former inmate in the Ozark County Jail who had three felony warrants.

During one of the calls, Bradberry said he knew he had warrants and he needed to be a ghost. They discussed he needed to stay at a hotel that didn’t have a lobby or elevator.

Santos-Duvalier told Bradberry to go to a motel and to hand the phone to the clerk and tell them it’s her credit card and she will pay for a weeklong stay instead of one night.

Bradberry was arrested the next day at a hotel in Mountain Grove.

Santos-Duvalier is again being held without bond pending her next court date April 15.
