The Mountain Home High School boys’ soccer team took part in the Ram Industrial Southside Southerner Invitational on Saturday and went 2-1 in the tournament.
The Bombers started the day by shutting out the host team, Southside Batesville 4-0. Jake Brewer led Mountain Home with two goals and an assist, Landon Scallion and Jacob Bzdel each added a goal, Zane Darracq had an assist and a save, and Kaleb Daniel and Dierks Beauregard each dished out an assist.
The Bombers did not fare as well in the second match as they fell to Beebe 2-1. Bzdel scored Mountain Home’s lone goal on a corner kick from Brewer, Shep Martin recorded three saves, and Daniel added a save.
The final match ended with the Bombers again beating Southside 4-0. Mountain Home was led by Beauregard with two goals and an assist, Brewer and Scallion each had a goal and an assist, Daniel and Tate Bayless each dished out an assist, and Martin recorded three saves.
The Bombers are now 3-6-5 on the season, and they’ll travel to Harrison on Monday.
