Recently, students with Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honors society at ASU-Mountain Home, (ASUMH) had the opportunity to travel to Kansas City for the annual PTK Catalyst event. During the event, ASUMH’s Chapter of PTK, Beta Iota Epsilon, received an award for Best College Project.

Attending the event were advisors Dr. Rebecca Baird and Dr. Cynthia Crisel and students Jessica and Madison Allen and Jillian and Jediah Dillon.

Dr. Rebecca Baird says this is the second year in a row the ASUMH PTK Chapter has won this award.

ASUMH’s College Project is STREAM, an annual event where area schools can participate in fun events while learning aspects of science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math. While many PTK Chapters will change up their project every year, STREAM has seen enough success for ASUMH to do it every year.

Jediah Dillon will participate in his first STREAM event this year and he plans to add something new to the event.
