Baseball and softball make up the local Friday schedule.
The Mountain Home High School baseball team will step out of conference play as they welcome Melbourne to McClain Park. The varsity game at Pitts Field is scheduled for 4:30 followed by the junior varsity contest.
In other high school baseball, Cotter travels to Centerton for a doubleheader with Life Way Christian, Flippin makes the trip to Heber Springs, Yellville-Summit heads to Salem, and Harrison travels to Gravette.
The Mountain Home High School softball team will also be back at McClain Park as they continue 5A-West action against Russellville. The varsity game at Freedom Field starts at 5, and the junior varsity contest will follow.
Elsewhere on the softball schedule, Viola makes the trip to Greers Ferry to face West Side, Valley Springs hosts Springdale, Harrison heads to Greenwood, and Ozark Mountain travels to Mountainburg for a doubleheader.
