Another fresh season of local vendors has begun at the corner of Fifth and Shira streets as the Mountain Home Farmers Market looks to expand it programs this year.
The market which sees upwards of 150 vendors every year has already added over 20 new vendors as the season kicked off a couple of weeks ago. From fresh grown vegetables, fruits, preserves, arts and crafts and wellness items, visitors have access to a wide selection of locally sourced items.
Food Bank of North Central Arkansas Chief Executive Officer Jeff Quick says they are partnering with the Area Agency on Aging to continue the senior voucher program this spring.
Listen:
The program will start later in May and run through the fall, and the Food Bank will release details on the application process as the date draws closer.
The market opens every Wednesday and Saturday, rain or shine, at 7 until noon.
