A few of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home’s technical education students recently received medals in the SkillsUSA Competition in Hot Springs with one being crowned a state champion.
Elizabeth Watson claimed the gold medal for the state title in welding. Lee Lawrence, Justin Lane and Cameron Bess teamed up to earn the silver medal in welding fabrication. Elijah Hunter came away with the bronze medal in automotive parts specialist.

A total of 15 students represented the university in the competition.
