
Both of the Mountain Home High School track teams finished as runners-up of the 5A-West Conference Meet Monday at Farmington. Russellville captured both team titles. Harrison’s boys were fifth, and the Lady Goblins took eighth place.
Individually for the Bomber boys, Eli Jones won the shot put and the discus throw, Reece Lara won the 400-meter dash, Connor King won the 800-meter run, Garrett Barr won the 1600-meter run, Ben Souder finished second in the 400-meter dash, Gus Wilber was second in the 300-meter hurdles, Zach Daugherty ended up third in the 200-meter dash, and Jackson Free took third place in the 800-meter run. The team of Barrett Miller, Souder, Wilber and Daugherty won the 4×200-meter relay; Daugherty, Lara, Souder and Wilber won the 4×400-meter relay; and Eli Lane, Caiden Kaspar, Levi Payne and Trenton Smith finished third in the 4×800-meter relay.
Harrison came away with one individual win on the boys’ side. Hunter Frickle captured the 3200-meter run.
For Mountain Home’s girls, Bailey Ritenburg was second in the 800-meter run, Camilla Johnson ended up second in the 300-meter hurdles, Cisily Goettler took second place in the 1600-meter run and third in the 800-meter run, Lucy Koehn finished third in the 3200-meter run, Pixie Bolick was third in the 100-meter hurdles, and Eliana Pepin ended up third in the high jump. The team of Ritenburg, Brooklynn Mitchell, Annyston Crooker and Johnson won the 4×400-meter relay; Ritenburg, Jamie Chandler, Erin Smith and Goettler took second place in the 4×800-meter relay; Bolick, Pepin, Ali Czanstkowski and MaKenna Miller finished second in the 4×100-meter relay; and Johnson, Crooker, Anna McCarn and Mitchell won the 4×200-meter relay.
